Well, The Dragon Boss' month in Massachusetts (and twenty minutes in New Hampshire and two days in Portland, Maine) is coming to an end in a few days, as is our time on Martha's Vineyard. We'll be heading back to San Francisco on Sunday, but before we do, it's worth recounting a few things that happened on this island:
TDB swam in the Atlantic for the first time doing both the backstroke and the crawl
TDB's dad turned 34
PaPa started soccer training with TDB, ritually arriving with an inflated beach ball for TDB to kick each day
TDB had his first taste of beer, an Ispwich Ale that Marmee dipped his pacifier in at the Atlantic in Edgartown
He also had some ice cream from Mad Martha's, just like Bill Clinton, courtsey of Gigi
But he didn't drive into Menemsha, the local local's spot on the island where the coffee at the boathouse Texaco is still 50c a cup (so we're told), he just saw it from across the jetty in Lobsterville, which is how most of the visitors see Menemsha anyway. There's always next year.
